Brisbane has become a hub of geospatial industry in Australia and IMIA’s Asia Pacific Region’s 2016 conference was a good opportunity to network with who’s who of mapping Industry in Australia. The conference was held from 15-17 Nov, 2015 was followed by GIS Day 2016, an event hosted by GIS People.
The year’s conference has covered with 20 presentations, lightning talks and business connect sessions. Keynote speakers were Prof William Cartwright AM, RMIT University and Damien Saunder, Esri USA. Mani Singh from NextByte Technologies presented a case study from NatGeoMaps website integration through Magento. The presentation discussed the common issues faced during migration and deployment strategies for migrating old eCommerce website to new platform using NextByte Technologies’ eCommerce suite for Map businesses.
